How does this work?
The tool extracts selectable text along with its positions, groups it into rows and columns, then creates real Excel worksheets. One worksheet is generated for each PDF page. Your original PDF is not modified.
Does PDF to Excel preserve the table?
For PDFs with selectable text, we infer row and column boundaries from text placement and create one editable worksheet per PDF page. Complex or borderless tables may require corrections after downloading.
Does this work with scanned statements?
Scanned PDFs need recognition first. Use OCR PDF, then convert. Always double-check financial numbers and totals in the spreadsheet.

Options and limitations
Choose column detection or a single reading-order column, then export XLSX with one worksheet per PDF page. Check reconstructed rows, merged cells and numbers. Image-only scans cannot be converted to Excel by this tool; the separate OCR tool exports text, not reconstructed Excel tables.
