How does this work?

The tool reads PDF text, identifies lines and possible tables, then constructs a native Word document. For highest visual similarity, choose Visual copy; this places each original PDF page as an image inside Word. Your original PDF is not modified.

How accurately will my PDF look in Word?

Visual copy closely preserves page appearance, but the content is not editable text. Editable Word reconstructs paragraphs and detected tables using PDF text positions. It cannot guarantee exact layout for complex PDFs. No converter can consistently provide both perfect visual matching and full editing for arbitrary documents.

Can scanned PDFs become editable Word documents?

Yes. Choose Editable Word and keep Automatically recognize pages without selectable text enabled. The page runs on-device OCR for scanned pages using a selected self-hosted language model, then reconstructs editable Word text at approximately the original positions. Complex layouts, tables, handwriting and images will not always reproduce faithfully. For an appearance-preserving but non-editable result, choose Visual copy.
